Round Three CWTS Results

Still not sure what the Creating With the Stars competition is? This post should give you a quick overview. But if you have been following us along, you'll recall we placed third out of 12 in round one (knockoff theme) and second out of nine in round two (paint theme), earning us one of the six spots in round 3 (upcycle theme). Well round 3 results were posted this morning and we got [...drum roll please...] FIRST PLACE! And of course, one of three spots in the finals. The final round's theme is home decor, with voting starting Monday!

Since the upcycle theme specified we had to turn useless products or garbage into something useful or with more value, we decided to fabricate a wall sculpture from scrap metal. Our full tutorial is being hosted here, so be sure to check it out if you're interested in the details on how this project came together in the last 48 hours!

In the meantime, we're one of three contestants who are moving on to the final round of the competition. Our friendly competitors are Lindsay from The White Buffalo and Shannon from AKA Design, check out their blogs too! Oh and be sure to check out the star we've been paired up with, KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms! She's our experienced mentor that tells us to stop freaking out and everything will be ok. UPDATE: The East Coast Creative gals have decided to add a fourth contestants to the final round, so be sure to also check out Mallory and Savannah over at Classy Clutter too!

The theme for round 3 is "upcycle" which means turning garbage or useless items into something useful. We spent last week making our project and voting is open now! As with the other rounds, we can't tell you which project is ours but hopefully you'll be able to guess based on our style!
