Our Adventure in Making Lifestyle Vlogs

In between the release of our larger video projects, we create short vlogs that cover a variety of topics that we're passionate about, including home renovations and DIY projects, travel, and aviation.

It all started with an obsession with the Canadian travel TV show Departures, which led us to discover our passion for creating lifestyle YouTube videos.

Our journey began in Vancouver, BC, where we started making vlogs to document our year-long stay in the coolest city in Canada. Not only did we want to share every moment with our family, but we also wanted to hold ourselves accountable for making the most of our time there. We set a goal to post a video once a week for four months straight and that helped us become more efficient editors.

At first, our weekend adventures were captured on a GoPro and edited into rough, silly stories. But as time went on and our skills and editing stamina developed, our videos became more polished and we started diving into color grading, pre-production, and story telling. In comes the travel series and films.

Over the years, our vlogs have evolved from funny action-cam shot moments to slow-motion cinematic montages, and back to humorous stories and adventures which we post in between the release of our larger more taxing projects. However, no matter the format, making vlogs has allowed us to connect with our audience on a personal level, sharing our passion for travel, photography, aviation, and home.
