In 2019 we completed a bucket list trip when we flew our helicopter from Buffalo, NY to Newfoundland, Canada. During this taxing trip we created a 6 episode travel docu-series for our YouTube channel called Cold Island.

After over a year of planning, researching, and branding out the materials, we launched Cold Island across all of our social platforms. We posted episodes twice a week over a period of three weeks in the fall of 2019.

Below is a collection of photography, video, and graphic design work Chris and I completed for the series.

Branding and Social Media Design

We wanted to roll out the series in the same way we would roll out a project for a client back when we ran a marketing company in St. John’s. That included trailers for each platform per episode, and instagram in-feed and story posts.


Instagram Stories

For each episode we posted a carousel on our Instagram feed. Each formatted the same as the last.

Extras

Outside of the series and social media posts we also did a few extra things, like create a photo book for ourselves and some merch.


Book

We created a coffee table book for ourselves to remember the trip by. The book includes photographs from the trip as well as mobile snaps!

Merch

After the series we launched a piece of Cold Island branded merch along with the rest of our limited line which sold out in under two hours.
