DIY Convert Pendant Light To Plug-In Lamp

We hacked an EQ3 Metro ceiling pendant and turned it into a plug-in wall lamp for our bedroom. It was fairly easy and only took about 15 minutes; here's how we did it!

Supplies

Pendant lamp of your choosing. We chose the EQ3 Metro ceiling pendant light

2-Pole, 3 Wire Grounding Plug (if your fixture doesn't have a ground you can use this one)

Wire strippers

Phillips head screwdriver

Precision screwdriver set
First, carefully remove the base plate from the light fixture by loosening the plastic locking nut with a precision screwdriver.
