The Making Of: Our East Meets West Living Room
Back at it again with that non monochrome room design. Super glad we took the risk and added a little colour in the master bedroom. It's so bright and happy, so we decided it would be a good idea to continue bringing colour throughout the rest of the space.
We fell in love with this oceany blue couch while shooting the showroom down at SAM Design a few months ago. There couldn't be a more perfect colour for our east-meets-west inspired living room. Deep blue velvet, walnut legs, tufted cushions - it's something totally outside our comfort zone but it gave us heart eye emoji face. The living room space is tight so we were excited to find that our new favourite couch came in an apartment size! How perfectly fitting. In fact Gus actually makes a few models of their couches in apartment sizes for those of us with tiny rooms.
We are thrilled to have SAM Design and Canadian furniture supplier Gus Modern along for the ride on this room!
One of the things we wanted to do with our new apartment was dedicate some of the wall space to our new and old homes of Vancouver and St. John's. While out shopping I came across a Vancouver map print I just had to have. Lucky for me the company makes a matching St. John's one so I ordered that to match.
