Top 5 Trends at IDS Vancouver 2016
This past weekend Chris and I went to check out IDS Vancouver at the Vancouver Convention Centre and boy did we get inspired! Here is a collection of our favourite booths, the most stylish displays, noticeable trends, and our favourite products.
Of course, Chris could't go to an interior design show with out his DIY socks.
TOP 5 TRENDS 2016
There definitely were some recurring trends at IDS 2016 and we were feeling them!
1. Pink, pink, and more pink!
Oh, and blue! Makes sense since these are Pantone's colours of the year.
2. Copper and gold
Everywhere on everything.
3. Iridescent finishes
This one seems to be a big thing. Chris spent about 20 minutes searching up how he could make anything into this finish (he's always been obsessed).
4. Living walls
I didn't photograph them all but there were a ton!
5. Raw wood furniture and textures
Lots of stump furniture, natural wood textures, and raw unfinished wood surfaces.
OUR FAVOURITE PRODUCTS
There were a few really innovative products we lost our minds over.
OUR FAVOURITE DISPLAYS
It's a given that an interior design show brings the most amazing product design, but it was also really great to see quality graphic design too! These are some of our favourite displays that were super appealing to the eyes.
And how could I forget the talk that Apartment Therapy CEO Maxwell Ryan gave?! SO GOOD!
So now we are super inspired and want everything! Especially those amazing power bars. If you made it all the way down here, thanks for sticking with us! We hope you were inspired too!
